The adult outpatient treatment services utilizes integrative cognitive behavioral approach within a structured setting to include but is not limited to the following: individual and group counseling, educational groups, vocational, occupational and recreational counseling, crisis intervention, professionally directed evaluations, treatment, case and other various recovery services such as relapse prevention, co-dependency, anger management, trauma counseling and support.
KSS IOP is 10 hours per week for 12 weeks and the OP is 7 hours per week for 12 weeks.
After care, also known as continuing care is a crucial part of any treatment strategy. Recovery from addiction starts when a person leaves treatment. That’s the time when the individual enters everyday struggles and have to face their lives for the first time in recovery.
Continuing Care is a forum in which individuals may explore successes, obstacles, and day to day issues that confront them, receiving feedback and support from the group facilitator and other participants. Plugging into treatment services in a safe and confidential location while allow for the individual to have an outlet for support. Continuing care consists of individual and group services for 1 hour a week for 12 weeks.
Once an individual has completed the outpatient portion of the KSS program, they will be transitioned into continuing care. KSS does not only accept individual that have gone through the outpatient program into continuing care. All qualifying referrals for continuing care services are accepted.
Intervention Services focuses on the motivational enhancement and education of individuals that are struggling with drugs and alcohol. Early Intervention services are catered to the individuals that have not participated in treatment before OR those that don't require a higher level of care but are having some substance related issue.
KSS uses Motivational Interviewing techniques to allow clients to work through their feelings of ambivalence, to make appropriate changes through self-empowerment, to seek out additional substance abuse treatment services, and remain abstinent. The education component provides a structured, content- specific setting for offenders and participants alike to learn about substance use, related behaviors, and consequences through psycho-educational worksheets, and facilitated discussions about various materials.
This service occurs within a individual and group setting encompassing 2x weekly for 6 weeks.
